The program is crafted to equip students with essential knowledge and skills for secure open-water scuba diving.
The curriculum typically encompasses three key stages:
Understanding the Basics: This phase involves classroom lessons, self-study, and assessments, ensuring students grasp fundamental scuba principles. Topics cover dive planning, physiology, equipment, and the underwater environment.
Confined Water Dives : During this stage, students undergo pool training sessions. They’ll hone vital scuba skills such as mask clearing, regulator retrieval, and responding to emergencies.
Open Water Dives: The course comprises four open water dives, where students apply skills acquired in confined waters. Here, they’ll grow confident in navigating the open water environment.
Upon completing the course, students earn certification to dive up to 60 feet/18 meters, always accompanied by a buddy. The globally recognized Open Water Diver certification is a lifelong credential, opening doors to underwater exploration across the world. 🌊🤿
